Are you working in (or just passionate about) audio engineering, field recording or location sound? Do you regularly record in stereo? Then this app is for you!

Based on Michael Williams's paper "The stereophonic zoom", Stereophonic Calculator allows you to find optimal stereo microphone configurations for any desired recording angle.

For any stereo configuration consisting of microphone distance and angle, the app will show the resulting recording angle, angular distortion, reverberation limit violations and a graphic, to-scale representation of the microphones.
An additional calculator page helps with finding out which recording angle to go for, based on user-provided measurements or estimations of the scene to be recorded.

Feature list:
- Set a desired Stereophonic Recording Angle (SRA) and explore combinations of microphone distance and angle to achieve it
- Immediately see angular distortion and reverberation limits for each configuration
- Microphone type switchable to omni mode for finding AB (spaced pair) configurations
- Live, to-scale graphic representation of the two microphones, showing distance and angle between them as well as the recording angle
- Interactive graph of configuration space, modeled after the figures in "The stereophonic zoom" with a heat map for angular distortion and outlines of reverberation limits
- Angle calculator page for calculating a recording angle from basic length measurements
- Presets for widely used configurations: ORTF, NOS, DIN
- Programmable buttons for user-defined configurations
- Units switchable between metric and imperial
- Angles switchable between full and half (±)
