Heston Pashto-English is a fulltext searchable version of Wilma L. Heston's "A digital Pashto-English dictionary with audio : 1,000 words from a core vocabulary," published by the Digital South Asia Library Project at the University of Chicago (2005).

The Heston Pashto-English dictionary can be used both online and offline. The online version interacts with a database that runs remotely on a server at the University of Chicago. The offline version uses a database that is created on the device upon first download.

Heston Pashto-English allows users to conduct both headword and fulltext queries.

Heston Pashto-English has audio files so that the user can listen to examples of pronunciation. All headwords are linked to audio files. Definitions often contain usage example sentences, some of which are also linked to audio files. In online mode, the user can touch the highlighted word or sentence to stream the audio. In offline mode, headword audio is available, but example sentence audio is not.
