Ipsos MediaCell can only be used by invitation and is solely for eligible opted-in participants of Ipsos market research activities.
Ipsos MediaCell is an Ipsos market research application which passively collects information about your device and how you consume media. This will help our clients shape the future of publishing and media in the world.
We just need you to enable the prompted notifications and permissions and keep the app running in the background of the phone and you’re good to go! In return, you’ll be rewarded, and the longer you comply with our simple rules, the more rewards you can earn.
The Ipsos MediaCell app will use the device microphone to listen out for coded audio or to generate digital audio fingerprints to measure the TV or radio stations you are tuned to; it will never record any audio.
Ipsos takes very seriously its responsibilities for the security and confidentiality of the information supplied to us by those who take part in the research we carry out.
• We take every care to ensure that we comply with our legal, regulatory and ethical obligations, including GDPR and the Market Research Society Code of Conduct.
• We’ll never transfer, sell or distribute your personal information.
• We don't collect the content of emails, SMS or other messages you send.
• All data transferred from the mobile device to our servers is encrypted with RSA public/private key encryption before uploading, as well as being transferred over HTTPS.
• We don't collect data from personal websites or apps such as banking.
• The app can be uninstalled at any time to stop all data collection immediately.

• When leaving the panel, it is your responsibility to uninstall the app to prevent further collection of data.
