A calmer bedtime
• Set minutes with the circular dial or quick presets.
• Adjust the audio fade-out to suit your routine.
• Keep the countdown running with the screen off.
• Cancel or adjust the timer using its notification.
• Optionally lock the screen after the timer finishes.
• Choose whether to restore the volume after playback pauses.
Get started
1. Start music, a podcast or a video in your preferred player.
2. Open Sleep Timer and choose a duration.
3. Tap Start. The countdown continues in the background.
Try a one-minute timer with your player before relying on it overnight.
Compatibility and permissions
Sleep Timer uses Android media controls. Playback pausing depends on the player and device; not every app responds to pause commands. Casting to another device may continue playing. This app does not power off your phone.
Optional screen locking requires device administrator permission. On phones with aggressive battery management, allow background activity for Sleep Timer. Wi-Fi switching is available only on Android 9 and earlier; Bluetooth switching is available only on Android 11 and earlier. Settings includes help if a timer or player behaves unexpectedly.
Optional Premium
The free app contains ads. A one-time Premium purchase removes ads and unlocks the home screen widget and Quick Settings tile. Timer controls do not require watching a rewarded ad.
