With financial support from UN Women and technical support from PRO-X Software Solution company, Yaung Chi Thit creates iWomen mobile app for survivors of gender-based violence (GBV) and women and girls at risk of GBV to access support and legal services with relevant duty bearers and social-support services. Moreover, a mobile app intends to protect women from violence, share information and services related to medical, legal, and social psychosocial supports, referral services, accessing training and workshop opportunities and allow women to help each other through advanced technology. The iWomen application will leverage and benefit women survivors, women and girls at risk of GBV who live in IDP camps and villages, particularly in Rakhine State where there are no case management workers in place and where service providers cannot access due to the restrictions. The app has been created with Rakhine and Muslim languages and women and men who understand the both languages can access the information and services of app. The information about gender, GBV, the services of GBV, 72 hours of an accident, power, interactive quiz session about GBV, etc… are included in app. In order to access app easily, the clear instructions have been descried and both online and offline services are available.
