Radio Comunitaria Ampara Su 90.7 FM, radio station of the Awá nationality that reaches the entire province of Imbabura, the northern sector of Pichincha and the southern sector of Carchi.
Ampara Su 90.7 FM is the community radio station of the Awá People of Ecuador. In the Awapit language, Ampara Su means “four worlds” which is very significant, as it represents the Awá Indigenous worldview. The four worlds represent the world of small beings that live under the earth, the world of human beings that live on the earth, that of the spirits that are already dead and have left the world of the living and, finally, the world of the Creator, the Great Spirit.
