I found the app very useful until the recent change that requires having a pass code in order to access the app. I hate having passcodes, it's annoying and inconvenient, whether it's a thumbprint or a number key or anything else, I don't want it. I get wanting to make the app more secure, but it's my personal information, if I'm comfortable with just using a password why should it matter? and how is keeping the web browser open on my phone any more secure?

We completely understand, Jenna. Please know this decision wasn’t made lightly. As a financial institution, we must prioritize data security, and this change was based on guidance from our security auditors. The web browser also has a shorter session timeout than the mobile app to provide added protection.

yeah I ain't adding a password to my phone. surprised this update doesn't break TOS, requiring us to add a phone password to USE your app. As if it stops people from getting into your bank app lol. Crazy to think they'd rather have you use your mobile browser that's full of ads, spam, pop-ups, data harvesting, and other fishy websites, instead of just rolling back this update lol. they did this just to help remove liability

You can use your phone’s browser to access your accounts without having to add device-level security. For convenience, bookmark the online banking site to your home screen. If you would like to discuss this change further with our IT security team, feel free to reach out to us at service@dupaco.com. Thank you for your feedback.

Taking away my choice of if/how I want my phone to lock or not is somewhat oppressive, very controlling, and makes me worry about where this is heading over time. Right now, it's how we lock our phones, next it's how we spend our money, followed by if they allow us to spend our money. Having to log in to the app it's self is all the necessary security needed.
