About this app

‘IGNOU-e-Content’ Mobile App is an Official Mobile App of Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU), New Delhi. This app is an ICT initiative of IGNOU to provide Digital Learning Environment to IGNOU learners and extending Technology Enhanced Learner Support Services to them. The aim of this initiative is to disseminate the digitised course material to IGNOU Learners.
IGNOU-e-Content App is a one stop solution for all the IGNOU learners to access their course material through their hand held devices such as Mobile Phones and Tablets. This app will cater around 30 million IGNOU learners to access the course material at any time anywhere at their finger tips.
IGNOU-e-Content provides downloadable IGNOU course material to its learners at various levels such as Certificate, Diploma, PG Certificate/ Diploma, Bachelors’ and Masters Degree programmes. Once the course material is downloaded in learners’ mobile device they can access it on anytime-anywhere basis.

Ratings and reviews

Excuse me but i would like to point out that the ignou books(offline study materials) are of low quality and have very low durability. Half of these are delivered partially damaged/torn at the edges with some books having there pages sticking out. I recommend making them a bit more durable with emphasis on the edge where the pages are stuck together to the book with glue. Just so they don't get damaged during handling and delivery and reach safely in the hands of the reader with no pages missing

They are just pdf copies. E content also need to include text to speech, search, copy options. Moreover it need to be interactive. Merely putting pdf copies of books are not enough. Distance learning has gone a sea change with elearning. IGNOU need to be a market leader and early adopter of technology to stay ahead of the curve.

Very slow to load sections. And as many mentioned please improve physical quality (i.e. colour, binding, clarity, etc.) of study materials on this App as well as providing via postal. *Content quality is up to the mark.
