KrimeScene is an independent, private application and does not represent or claim affiliation with any government entity, agency, or law enforcement organization. All actions and responses within the app are managed by private monitoring officers and community users, not government personnel.
KrimeScene is a community-driven application designed to help reduce suspect incidents and enhance safety in neighborhoods. It operates as a cloud-based solution, integrating multiple components to facilitate rapid incident reporting and community alerts.
Our platform includes a web-based component and two distinct mobile app user types:
KrimeScene for people: This app allows community members to capture and upload details of suspect incidents observed in their premises.
KrimeWatch for control room: This companion app is used by private monitoring officers in a dedicated control station.
When a mobile user captures an incident, the app securely sends an encrypted evidence video, along with GPS location and timestamp, to the private control station via a cloud computing solution, ensuring user privacy by not transmitting specific mobile device particularities.
Private monitoring officers at the control station then review the incident video and assess its intensity. Based on this assessment, these private officers will decide on appropriate actions. For example, if a witness observes a child kidnapping, they can quickly record details like the car's number plate, color, and other specifications. Once this incident is uploaded, the private monitoring officers can trigger a community alert. This "people alert" provides available specifications and a brief description of necessary precautions to other users. All individuals in that neighborhood who have installed the KrimeScene mobile app will then receive this immediate alert with relevant details.
This system is built by the community, for the community, to foster a safer environment through mutual awareness and swift information sharing among its private user base.
