Install Skisporet.no App on your phone/tablet and you always find "live" preparation status and weather forecast for over 600 ski resorts (31,000 km of ski slopes) in Norway. The preparation status is continuously updated via computer networks and GPS positions from a total of 1,400 trail groomers.

Love this app. Small change since last update is that map has to be reloaded each time open app again to check location. Which often can take time, and time means colder hands:d Maybe I doing something wrong or need change something in settings but last year app did not do this. Regardless this app essential for XcSkiing. Thanks for all you do.

Good idea, but poor execution. Really unusable, at least for me as someone not very familiar with the country already. Very hard to find the right part of the map, and you have to start again every time you open it. Then trails appear and disappear for no obvious reason. Wouldn't recommend bothering.

An other prime example of how Norway has no care for helping foreign tourists. Want to use the apps special feature? Then you'll need a profile. To get a profile you need a special Norwegian payment app called Vipps. Vipps is only available to Norwegians. Absolutely a joke. This is something you might expect in a country like Japan or the US where most tourists are domestic. At least state it on the download screen so I don't waste several hours trying to get it to work.
