AN ASSISTANT YOU SWITCH ON YOURSELF
The AI assistant is off until you turn it on. While it is off, your chats are not passed to it. Every contact screen carries a card that states plainly whether the assistant can read that conversation, and you can switch it off for a single chat without switching it off everywhere.

WHAT IS ENCRYPTED, STATED PLAINLY
Chat content is encrypted on your device with a per-chat key, stored on our servers only as copies wrapped to each member's public key. While the assistant is switched off in a chat, we hold no key that opens it. We do not claim forward secrecy or post-compromise security for this scheme. One-to-one calls are encrypted between the two devices. Group calls are routed through our media server, which decrypts them in order to forward them, and are therefore not end-to-end encrypted — we would rather say so than imply otherwise.

Delete your account from inside the app. Block or report any user or message. Chat and channel admins moderate their own spaces.
