About this app

Route Generator plans electric-vehicle trips with the battery in mind. It is the mobile companion of the İTÜ İLATERA research platform (TÜBİTAK 1004, Project 1.2 — Energy Management Based on Battery Health, Grid Interaction, Vehicle Control and Multi-Criteria Route Planning).

ROUTES
Pick a start and a destination on the map, choose a vehicle and weight what matters to you: travel time, distance, remaining charge or battery health. Alternative routes are fetched live, enriched with real-time traffic on every road segment and ranked by your weights.

ENERGY MODEL
Each alternative is simulated with a longitudinal vehicle model and a battery cell model: speed profile, battery power, cumulative energy, state of charge at arrival and the tiny capacity loss the trip causes. Compare the alternatives side by side and open the charts.

VEHICLE-TO-GRID
See how a parked car can serve the grid over a day: charge and discharge power, revenue and state of health, computed with battery aging in mind.

ELECTRICITY PRICES
Hourly day-ahead market prices (EPİAŞ) with the cheapest and most expensive hours highlighted.
