About this app

Solve medical cases. Practice real-world diagnosis. Build clinical confidence.

Atrium is a gamified learning platform where you improve your diagnostic and decision-making skills by solving authentic patient scenarios.

Whether you're just starting clinical work or already in practice, Atrium challenges you to think like a doctor — every day, in just a few minutes.

---

How the Game Works

1. Meet the Patient:
Get a brief with presenting symptoms, history, and vitals.

2. Order Tests:
Select the investigations you think are necessary. Avoid over-testing.

3. Make the Diagnosis:
Choose the correct diagnosis — and add comorbidities when relevant.

4. Treat the Patient:
Decide on the most appropriate next steps for treatment or referral.

5. Get Your Score:
Performance is scored based on diagnostic accuracy and management quality.

---

A worthy app to practice situational tasks in the medical field. As a student, I'm finding it very effective except that we can't talk with the patients. They're already admitted in the hospital, so it's not outpatient practice, but inpatient practice. You're a head doctor here. So, what happens to your patient reflects in your experience. I would've liked it much more if a wrong treatment or diagnosis would lower your level as a doctor (not experience), cause it would feel realistic then.

Excellent app however now there is a huge payall that limits a lot of information that was previously free. I had been using it for a month and I had genuinely liked the explanations after each case, and the interactive UI. But, after the new update, the crucial info behind a huge paywall and the test results being in a more clunky flashcard format, being really hard to scroll through and look at findings instead of all being in a list that you can quickly cross reference, is a big turn off. :(
