I've tried a lot of AI roleplay apps, and HangJam is easily one of my favorites. The character and scenario tools, personas, lorebooks, regeneration options, and generous writing limits give me great control over long-form RP. I especially love the subscription model because I can focus on writing without worrying about credits every message. The AI isn't perfect, but the overall experience is excellent and keeps me coming back. Easy 5 stars!

It's a great app, straightforward, fun, love that you get to choose your preferences. I don't enjoy the massaging limit, it's too short, and I don't find it necessary to pay to play. I like to actually sit for a while and make stories, but setting a limit is probably my biggest no. I'll definitely reinstall the app if I hear there has been a change made about the messaging limit!

Would have been 5 stars IF, for one, if HJ didn't make it cost. Not being able to you HJ for free out of nowhere pissed me off. Literally had the potential of becoming SO popular until things started costing and yall got greedy. For two, I got the openrouter, AND NOW IT DOESN'T WANT TO WORK AT ALL?? Genuinely so annoying. Can't trust an app that pulls off bs like this.
