Do you want to work true to yourself and connect with people comfortably, even in an unfamiliar city? HiNomad is a community app for nomads, freelancers, and remote workers. Currently centered around the HiNomad Lab in Sokcho, Gangwon-do, we connect visits, focus, connections, and documentation into one unified whole.
Get Started with the HiNomad Key
Scan the QR code at the entrance or on a table to begin your visit. Without reservations or payments, a single code completes everything from check-in to confirming your meetup participation. You can also enter the code directly even without a QR code.
Today - Me Today
Write down your goals for today and select your current status from Focus, Available for Conversation, or Need Help. You can also check updates from the space directly on this screen.
Meetup - This Week's Meetups
Check out and sign up for meetups held at the HiNomad Lab, including networking events and workshops. You can confirm your participation for free meetups directly within the app, while paid meetups direct you to a secure web payment screen.
Matching - Between People
This is a connection arranged by a host who looks into and links people who are currently in the space or participating in the same meetup. It is decided by humans, not algorithms, and mutual information is shared only when both parties agree.
Passport - My Records
Dates of visits, confirmed connections, and reflections are neatly accumulated in your personal passport. You can also exchange contact information with other members using QR business cards.
HiNomad is an app that connects people with spaces operated by the HiNomad community. While it is currently most frequently used at the Sokcho HiNomad Lab, we are developing it into a service for the entire HiNomad community.
This is for:
- Freelancers who need workspace and people in Sokcho
- Nomads who want to connect with new people comfortably yet safely
- Remote workers planning a short workcation
Good to Know:
- No in-app payments. Participation fees for paid meetups are processed via a secure web payment screen.
- You can easily get started using your Apple, Google, or email account.
- We do not collect location data. Check-ins are completed solely through code verification.
