About this app

BrainBaton turns brain training into shared, timed rounds for solo practice, local groups, and online rooms.

Practice six cognitive skills with challenge difficulty tuned to your current rating. Scoring balances accuracy, response time, and assigned difficulty so players at different experience levels can share an arena.

SIX COGNITIVE MODULES

- Sequence Recall: reproduce a growing pattern of highlighted positions.
- Mental Math Sprint: solve timed arithmetic at an adaptive level.
- Pattern Matrix: identify the missing tile that completes a visual rule.
- Spatial Rotation: match a target shape after rotation.
- Focus Filter: respond to the relevant signal while ignoring interference.
- Word Bridge: connect or reconstruct words through association.

THREE WAYS TO TRAIN

Solo Daily presents a shared daily seed across all six skills and records your result in a cognitive profile.

Quick Arena gives 2 to 8 players synchronized rounds with individual scores and live standings.

Relay Teams assigns each round to one teammate at a time, creating a visible baton pass between two teams.

LOCAL AND ONLINE ARENAS

Local Arena uses Google Play services Nearby Connections on compatible Android devices. One device hosts and nearby players discover the room through nearby Wi-Fi and Bluetooth without typing an address or code.

Online Arena uses a six-character room code. BrainBaton creates an anonymous Firebase account, synchronizes room state, validates answers through the backend, and updates six skill ratings after completed rounds.

MEASURABLE PROGRESS

The Cognitive Profile shows a six-axis skill chart, current ratings, recent sessions, and daily percentile results. Ratings describe performance inside BrainBaton; they are not a medical, psychological, or intelligence assessment.

PLAYER SAFETY

BrainBaton has no open-ended chat, private messaging, media sharing, or public feed. Players can send only four preset reactions. Arena names pass through a basic safety filter, and every other player in an online room has block and report actions. A dedicated Child Safety screen explains the standards and contact path.

DATA AND CONTROL

Online features process an arena name, anonymous account identifier, room participation, answers and timing, scores, ratings, preset reactions, and reports submitted by the user. Daily cache, preferences, training history, blocked players, and a copy of ratings are stored in Android app storage. Cloud account and profile deletion are available in Settings.

BrainBaton is designed for cognitive practice and friendly competition. It does not provide diagnosis, treatment, clinical advice, or a standardized measure of intelligence.
