Halum is a free, ad-free storytelling app for children ages 3 to 12. Read a wide library of pre-loaded stories or create new ones with built-in story templates - every story comes with read-aloud narration and live word highlighting.

CREATE YOUR OWN STORY

Halum can build a fresh, age-appropriate story in seconds:

1. Choose the age group
2. Pick one to three characters
3. Choose a setting (forest, ocean, space, magic land, and more)
4. Pick the lesson: kindness, bravery, honesty, friendship, gratitude, science, nature, and others
5. Choose the story length
6. Tap Create

The story is created on your device, saved to your library, and ready to read with narration. You can keep, favorite, or remove any story you create.

READ-ALOUD NARRATION

Halum uses your device built-in text-to-speech to read each story out loud. Words are highlighted as they are read, helping children follow along with the text. Speed and voice can be adjusted in Settings.

PARENTAL CONTROLS

* Parental gate guards sensitive settings behind a quick math problem
* Daily creation limit you control (5, 10, 15, or unlimited)
* Toggle to show or hide values-based content categories
* Clear reading history at any time
* Reset settings to defaults at any time

PRIVACY AND SECURITY

* No advertising and no in-app purchases
* No analytics or tracking SDKs
* No accounts, profiles, or sign-in
* Reading progress, favorites, and created stories are stored only on your device
* No internet permission is requested by the Android app

SUPPORTED APP LANGUAGES

Halum interface supports English, Bengali, Arabic, Hindi, Spanish, French, and Urdu, with right-to-left layouts for Arabic and Urdu. Included and created stories are currently in English.
