LitWeave is a scholarly research and literature discovery workspace for students, educators, independent researchers, journalists, clinicians, and policy teams.
Start with a topic, phrase, author, or DOI. LitWeave searches live publisher-deposited metadata from Crossref and presents the source details needed to follow a paper trail.
Discover relevant research
Search across disciplines, narrow by year and work type, sort by relevance, date, or citation count, and load more records as your question develops.
Inspect each paper
Open a focused dossier with authors, venue, publication year, work type, DOI, deposited abstract, citation count, and reference count. Missing metadata is labeled instead of guessed.
Trace DOI references
Follow up to eight DOI-linked references deposited with a record. Open a DOI page or share a citation through Android's standard actions.
Check open-access availability
LitWeave checks Unpaywall for a listed open-access location. When one is available, you can open it in your browser. The app does not bypass publisher access controls.
Build a private evidence board
Save useful papers in an app-private workspace. Add notes and tags, remove records at any time, and keep saved evidence available on the device.
Compare metadata signals
Select two or three saved papers and compare publication year, citation count, reference depth, abstract availability, open-access status, and your notes. These fields are shown as neutral metadata, not scientific quality scores.
Privacy and transparency
No account is required. LitWeave has no developer backend, advertising, analytics, or public profile. Search terms and DOI requests are sent over encrypted connections to Crossref and Unpaywall. Saved papers, notes, tags, and comparison selections remain in the app-private database and are excluded from Android cloud backup and device transfer.
LitWeave does not generate summaries, medical advice, peer-review verdicts, or institutional endorsements. Metadata availability depends on the records supplied by publishers and scholarly services.
Search scholarly records, trace DOI references, and organize evidence.
