Blockrun is a block puzzle you can build a strategy around.
Every block run starts the same and ends somewhere different, because what you build changes what the board is worth.
The basics are familiar. Three pieces at a time, an 8x8 board, drag them in and clear full rows and columns. Run out of room and the block run ends. That part you already know how to play.
What sits underneath it is the part that doesn't.
EIGHT CORES, TWO PHILOSOPHIES
Cores change how the board scores, and they disagree with each other. Twinned pays out when you clear exactly two lines. Triplet wants three. Purity rewards keeping the board nearly empty and gives you an extra piece slot while you do. Overload wants the opposite, a crowded board, and throws you a rescue sweep when it gets desperate.
Nothing in Blockrun multiplies. Every bonus is a flat number with a condition attached, so you can always work out what a placement is worth before you make it. Builds have identity because cores genuinely oppose each other, not because the numbers get large.
EVERY CORE IS EARNABLE
Each locked core has exactly one challenge that unlocks it. Not a purchase, not a random drop, but a specific thing to do with a progress bar showing how close you are.
Diamonds come from playing and from finishing challenges. You can buy them if you would rather move faster. You never have to.
A WEEKLY CHALLENGE EVERYONE SHARES
One challenge per week, generated from the week number itself, so it is identical for every player in the world. Bonus Purist asks for your highest score using only bonus cores. Next week asks for something else.
FIVE BLOCK SETS
Clear the board down to almost nothing and the tiles change. Ice, metal, fruit, lava, glow. Purely cosmetic. A skin has never changed a number, a hitbox or a timing, and there is no scoring bonus for triggering one.
NO ADS
Not between runs, not on the game-over screen, not as a "watch this to keep playing". The game stays quiet.
YOUR BLOCK RUNS, REMEMBERED
Personal bests, lifetime statistics, and an ending screen that tells you what the run was actually worth: how close you came to your record, what you unlocked along the way, and what the next one would take.
