About this app

vkWorkforce is the mobile companion to the vkWorkforce staffing platform, built for home-care and healthcare staffing agencies and the caregivers they employ. Access is limited to employees, applicants and administrators of an agency that subscribes to vkWorkforce — you will need credentials issued by your employer to sign in.

FOR CAREGIVERS AND FIELD STAFF
• Clock in and out of shifts, with on-site verification at the start of a visit
• See your upcoming schedule, open shifts and shift details at a glance
• Pick up open shifts and set your availability
• Review your hours and submit timesheets, including a photo of a paper timesheet
• Record visit notes by typing or dictation
• Track mileage for reimbursement
• Message your scheduler and receive shift notifications

FOR SCHEDULERS AND OFFICE STAFF
• Build and publish the schedule, and assign shifts to available staff
• Review and approve submitted timecards
• Manage client and caregiver records
• Plan visit routes and get turn-by-turn directions
• Track credentials and licence expiry across your roster
• Reach staff by in-app messaging, SMS or call

FOR APPLICANTS
• Complete and submit your employment application
• Upload the credentials and documents your employer requires
• Track where your application stands

LOCATION AND PRIVACY
vkWorkforce uses your location to confirm you are on-site when you clock in, and to record your route while you are clocked in for a home-care shift, so your agency can verify visits and reimburse travel. Location tracking runs only between clock-in and clock-out — it stops as soon as you clock out, and never runs when you are off shift. You can decline location permission and still use the rest of the app, though your agency may require it for visit verification.

vkWorkforce handles protected health information on behalf of the healthcare agencies that use it. Data is encrypted in transit, and is visible only to authorised staff at your own agency.
