About this app

WasteVision Driver is the in-cab companion app for waste and recycling collection crews. It runs on the company-issued Android tablet mounted in the truck and gives the driver one clear, always-current view of the day's work.

This is provisioned software for commercial fleets. Tablets are paired by a fleet administrator and drivers sign in with a PIN issued by their employer. It is not a consumer app and cannot be used without an account provided by your company.

WHAT DRIVERS GET

Sequenced route sheet
Every stop for the shift, in service order, with site name and address. A running "collected of total" count sits at the top so the driver always knows what is left. The next pending stop is highlighted so there is never a question about where to go next.

Live status, without asking dispatch
The route sheet refreshes automatically about once a minute. Stops that the back office marks collected, passed, or exception update on the tablet on their own, and a "synced seconds ago" indicator makes it obvious when the data was last refreshed.

Stop detail that matters in the cab
Tap any stop for the access information crews actually need: gate codes, access hours, whether a key is required, special handling instructions, site notes, and the on-site contact. One tap hands the address off to Google Maps for turn-by-turn navigation.

One-tap completion
Mark a stop collected without leaving the route sheet. The status updates immediately on the tablet and reports back to the office.

Exception reporting with photo evidence
When a stop cannot be serviced, the driver files an exception in seconds: blocked or no access, not out, contaminated, overflow, or a free-text note. An optional photo can be attached straight from the tablet camera, giving the office proof of the condition without a phone call.

Route map
Every stop plotted and color-coded by status, joined in service order, with the truck's current position shown on the map. A persistent next-stop bar offers one-tap navigation.

Built for real coverage gaps
Trucks drive through dead zones. The app is built for it. Completed stops and exceptions filed while offline are queued on the tablet and sent automatically the moment signal returns, so a driver never loses work or has to remember what to re-enter. If the route sheet cannot reach the server on startup, the last synced copy is shown with a clear notice of how old it is rather than an error screen.

Designed for a moving truck
Landscape layout for dash-mounted tablets, large touch targets, high-contrast status colors, and no nested menus to dig through. A driver should be able to read the screen and complete a stop at a glance.

REQUIREMENTS

An active WasteVision account and a tablet paired by your fleet administrator. Drivers cannot self-register. Contact your dispatcher or fleet manager for access.

Location permission is used to show the truck's position on the route map. Camera permission is used only when a driver chooses to attach a photo to an exception. Both are optional and the rest of the app works without them.
