How it works

Once you register (Quick, FREE and Easy) - Use the Map - choose the zone you are parked in , make sure you
have the right vehicle selected and ‘START’. That’s it!

When you return to your car, you can simply ‘STOP’ and only pay for the time you park. Smart.

You can also instantly start and stop a paid parking session by using the app to scan sign-posted QR code or
select the zone number; You can also search zones by name and numbers.

Once zone is selected - confirm your car from a list of vehicles in your account and press ‘Start’. The cloud
based CellOPark portal gives you secure access parking to your history as well as the ability to produce reports,
change your account settings and control your parking payments online.

The optional Premium membership is $1.99 per registered vehicle per month (capped at $4.99) and only
charged in months the CellOPark app is used. Premium account holders receive push notification reminders via
iMoved after driving away from a parking bay and SMS reminders before allowable parking time ends.

Background location permission is only used for iMoved and must be enabled for iMoved to work.
Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life.

Ratings and reviews

I absolutely hate how it takes the payment out at the end of each month (aka the end of the billing cycle). I'd rather pay this upfront than have a huge portion of funds get removed suddenly from my account. Have to pay a premium to get reminded of when your times up, and app is missing other features that are free on other parking payment apps. This is one of the worst parking payment systems I've used. I will use the meter instead every chance I get.

Update 2025: This is still a scam. If you were charged the monthly premium fees, call your bank to backcharge them. This is the only way to make them feel the pain. WARNING - SCAMMING App. One little click on the popup, and you will be subscribed into their "premium" account. There is no way to unsubscribe in their app! You have to login into their website to "downgrade"! I say this is full of BS! Call your bank to reverse the charge!

I don't know how else to describe this app, other than as a scam. Their buggy app (randomly) doesn't register when a parking session has been stopped, which keeps meter for the maximum amount of time, unless you manually confirm it's been stopped. You find out the extra charges later when looking at your account, fun! Cellopark (of course) take no responsibility when you contact them about it. Ask your council/parking service to use a different provider, this one is dodgy.
