Loved the game sooo much, but I will stop playing :( There is a huge amount of luck due to the random map generation, leading to closer nearby villages or fewer resources. I can either win easily or get destroyed in the Crazy level. Once I was even stuck on an island! I would recommend fixed nearby resouces and equal distances between opponents as in AOE2 to make it more fair for all games.
It's a fun turn based game complemented with beautiful graphics. I first heard about it from Reddit. Some people were saying it's a good game that is similar to Civ, which sounded interesting enough for me to download it. Even though I only have four tribes available, I've already spent several hours playing it. Huge respect for the developers for not putting any ads in the entire game, even when they have every right do so. I would've easily bought the rest of the tribes if I had the means to pay for it; so instead, I'm leaving this review in hope that others will give this game a try and support the developers if they liked it.
Kind of reminds me of skulls of the Shogun (although I don't know which was developed first). Haven't played multi player yet bc I'm going to get schooled! Great game. I love all the different tribes and take no issue with shelling out a few $ to check the all out. Of course playing the free tribes leaves little to be desired if u can't afford the extras. Best game I've come across in a WHILE.
Fantastic mobile game. It's a great pocket sized Civilization-style game. Quick games with the depth and variation to keep you immersed. Unfortunately, the multiplayer update doesn't seem to be functioning very stably at the moment. My friend (Verizon iPhone) and myself (Sprint Android) have been trying to play some matches, but we keep getting turns where we can't move our units, or gain resource points to spend. As it's an indie-developed game, I understand it's tough to test every permutation of devices and connections. I'm hopeful and looking forward to subsequent updates and bugfixes. Keep up the great work!
I really like it, turn based strategy, probably one of the best games I had on this phone yet. There are a few fun tribes you can buy (or rather should buy) and I think spending a few bucks for a game like this is absolutely fine. Just keep an eye on the time, half an hour flies away if you don't pay attention ^^
This game is amazing! I've never been so hooked on a game before but this is just fun to play. You won't realize how quick time flies when you're playing this. I love it so much I'm taking my sweet time collecting all the tribes. And the graphics is just fitting for the gameplay, everything about the game is just peachy. Totally recommended.
After months of testing it is finally here:
Challenge your friends and enemies in ONLINE MULTIPLAYER games!
-Works cross platform (Android & iOS)
-Free for anyone who has purchased any of the paid tribes.
-Updated UI that looks a lot more squoochie and wimbiewoo.
This is the first take on online multiplayer and I have lots of cool things I want to add to it in the future. Midjiwan is basically a one man operation so development will take some time. In the meantime, play nice!
