Download and read a free Nautilus book, winner of the Jabuti Literature Prize 2017!
Nautilus is an interactive adaptation of Jules Verne's "Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea", which inspired innovators and shaped the literary taste of all time. Its proposal is to lead young people to experience innovative thinking, combining science and fantasy.
This app brings the epic in audiovisual and interactive language, fully narrated and enriched with animations and sound effects - created by StoryMax with support from the Federal Government through the Ministry of Science, Technology, Innovations and Communications - MCTIC, by the INOVApps Application Contest.
Nautilus reveals human passions and the most drastic consequences they can lead to. Aboard their submarine, a knowledge-obsessed professor, his restrained servant and a harpooner with violent impulses are forced to team up with the rebellious Captain Nemo, a creative genius driven by hate, dogged by independence and thirsty for adventure. Together they explore the wonders and mysteries of the deep sea.
Combining knowledge and creativity, Jules Verne created this narrative, which combines reality and fiction and is as fanciful as it is real.
The story of Captain Nemo rescues, almost 150 years after the publication of Verne's original work, this author's ability to unite reality and fiction: an inspiration for young people who will create the future with their own innovations. The app contains 167 screens of literary content and extra content.
