I've been on Android 9 for about a month and the app will not open at least since updating. It could be a lover problem than that, but i didn't need it for a while. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling a couple of times among all the other basic trouble shooting strategies, and nothing works. It just won't even open, so, it's useless.

Opening the app shows all books, just not books that I have purchased so I waste time by scrolling through the list just to get to the correct book. When selecting the book to read it does not go to where I left off. No option to increase the font or how to view the pages like on an E-reader. Page view behaves more like a pdf than an ebook format, by zooming in and having to scroll left and right and top to bottom just to view a sentence. Don't buy digital books from this company.

Recommendation : TTS (Text To Speech) Feature be added to the App. I find it invaluable to be able to listen to the contents of a book that I am reviewing for a course, while I am going about my daily activities. There is a lot of great material in ACE textbooks, but finding the time to just sit down and read through it is quite challenging. TTS (particularly when the function has high quality voices) makes going through a lot of material infinitely more doable. As for the App itself, it's not bad, but needs work. The ACE App's "Pinch to Zoom" feature is not consistently precise, sometimes it fails to register my finger movements. The App's "Pan" feature to scroll around the document is also temperamental, again, failing to register my finger motions at times. The "Search" function is ok, but does not highlight the searched for term on the page reliably and does not register searches for phrases of 2 words. So, overall, the App is acceptable, but significant improvement would be very helpful to improve its quality. Ultimately, I'd prefer to have a PDF copy of the book I could access in an established, full featured E-Reader. But, copyright protection is another topic.
