📖 How Hand and Foot is Played

Hand and Foot is played with multiple decks of cards, using one more deck than the number of players. Each player receives two sets of cards: the Hand, played first, and the Foot, which is picked up once the Hand is finished.
To go out, players must finish their Hand, play the Foot, and complete one clean and one dirty Canasta.

Players draw two cards per turn. Only melds (sets of the same rank) may be laid down; runs are not allowed. To pick up the discard pile, players must hold two cards of the same rank as the top discard, and only the top 7 cards are taken. The discard pile is blocked by wild cards, threes, or cards from a rank with a closed Canasta.

🎯 Minimum Meld Requirements

Before laying cards down or picking up the discard pile, players must meet the minimum points for the round: 50 points in Round 1, 90 in Round 2, 120 in Round 3, and 150 in Round 4, based on melds and completed Canastas. A Canasta is a meld of at least 7 cards.

🃏 Wild Cards & Meld Rules

Wild cards include Deuces (2s) and Jokers. A dirty meld may contain up to 3 wild cards, and every meld must have more natural cards than wild cards. An optional rule allows play without Joker melds.

⭐ Scoring & Card Values

Card Values
4–7: 5 points. 8–K: 10 points. Aces: 20 points
Deuces (2s): 20 points (Wild). Jokers: 50 points (Wild)

I love this game; however, I wish there was a better option to play/invite your friends. There are no instructions. There needs to be fairness when playing games with higher level people. There's no reason a team should have 9k and other team has 300. I also wish I could see what I'm typing when I'm putting a message in the box when on my phone. I would like to see what I'm picking up from the pile. If these things were fixed this would be easy five-star game for me.

Hi Tess! We’d love to reply in more detail, but we’re limited by character space. You can find instructions in Settings→?, watch the tutorial: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZxC1Ze2LhbE . Cards are dealt randomly and fairly. For more balanced matches, try trophy tables. Discard pile cards appear on the right side of your hand. Thanks for your input!

Cool card game, but the app needs work. The resolution feels like it was developed for PC, making it very hard to read on a small cell phone. Making the user sign in every time you open the app is not a deal breaker, but certainly is tedious. The worst part of the app is the credits system. As far as I can tell, you must have at least 500 credits to start a match. And the only way to refill credits after losing several rounds is to pay or to watch ads. I wish there was a free play mode.

We appreciate your feedback and understand your concerns. We're currently working on a new version where cards are much bigger. We'll consider your suggestions for improving the sign-in and credits system. If you have further suggestions, feel free to email us at hello@conectagames.com. Thank you for your valuable input!

Fun game but glitchy and a money grab. They only give you one free game every 24 hours and expect you to buy credits to play more than once after your first day. There are no rules or notes on the app functionality available to learn their rules or how the app works. I had to search online for info on when credits appear and ended up in the reviews for the info. Would like to see improvements in these areas.
