when I try to tell the app not to send me notifications it freezes and I have to force quit

Notifications are controlled by Android system settings, not inside the game. You can disable them via Settings → Apps → Mortal Portal → Notifications. The game should not freeze in this case — please try again and update your rating 5* as you blamed game for nothing. Mortal Portal: Enter the Fight 🔮⚔️
