This application is made in the context of the exhibition Frédéric Bazille, the youth of Impressionism. This exhibition is organized by the Musée Fabre in Montpellier (25th June - 16th October 2016), the Musée d'Orsay in Paris (15th November 2016 - 5th March 2017) and the National Gallery of Art in Washington (9th April - 9th July 2017) ).
It offers a tour of the city of Montpellier in connection with the painter Frédéric Bazille (1841-1870).
Richly illustrated texts allow to explore the Montpellier of the Second Empire, by discovering the places of life of the painter and his family, as well as those who evoke his memory. Discover many anecdotes about the life of the painter and the city of Montpellier. This geolocated application allows you to visit independently the pedestrian historic center of the city and its most beautiful public gardens.
