Upgrade your Roku Stick, Roku Box and Roku TV to watch webvideos, online movies, livestreams and live-tv shows directly on your biggest screen. Mp4, m3u8, hls livestreams, video over https and of course Full HD are supported.

Control your Roku with the integrated Roku Remote.

With Castie you may browse the web and stream any video or music you desire directly to your Roku device. Simply navigate to your favorite website and "tap here to play" the detected media. You may also use your local networks DLNA / Upnp or Samba folders to stream and cast media.

* SUPPORTED Roku Players: Roku TV, Roku Streaming Stick, Roku Express, Roku Premiere, Roku Ultra, Roku 2, Roku 3, Roku 4, Roku HD (2500), Roku LT (2400+2450) Player. Please make sure that firmware 5.1 or later is installed.

* NOT SUPPORTED MEDIA: Google Play movies, Netflix, Amazon Prime, HULU, HBO and other (DRM protected videos web-videos, flash, online-movies, livestreams and live-tv shows).

* Please try before you buy. The Free editions of Castie allow up to 10 minutes of playback per item so you may see Castie working.

* If the media isn't being detected, please try tapping on the media play icon or button if you see one on the webpage or try another source, like Source #2, or Version #2.

--> QUICK START GUIDE

1. Load Castie and give it a few moments to detect your devices and then select one. Make sure you are connected to the same local WiFi that the device you are attempting to connect to is.

2. a. Use the built-in Castie Web-Browser to find a WWW media file and press "Tap here to play" once media is detected.

2. b. Use the built-in DLNA / UPNP / SAMBA support to browse your local network to find media to play.

2. c. Use the built-in Local device support to browse your local device to find media to play.

3. After testing, consider upgrading if Castie is working for you using Settings - Premium.

Using a Samsung Galaxy 8+ and a Roku TV: Videos stay in buffering state and don't ever play. When viewing pictures, the 1st picture populates just fine, and every picture thereafter will not. The initially viewed picture just stays on the screen it's being casted to, and flickers as if ready to change, yet doesn't. Waste of time and money if you bother to go far as to try the premium version in the hopes that it'll work better than the free one.

Every once in awhile it will stop & show loading, when it does this, go back to the phone app & watch the ad it ahows. The movie will come back on. If it gets worse, clear your cache, and worse case scenario, delete the app & download again. When you figure out the little hiccups, this app is AWESOME!!!

This app sucks. I wish I knew that before I paid for it. If you try to stream a TV show it automatically just plays the 1st episode, no matter what I do I can't get any other episode but the 1st no matter what show I try. I had iPhone switched to android and went with this. I use the same site for movies and TV shows and never had an issue with the cast I used on apple. Apparently that don't work on android.
