Ratings and reviews

Superb game, balanced, strategic, and almost infinitely replayable. If you are looking for a strategy game, try this. I've been playing for years, and one thing I like is the ability to play a turn on my schedule. Also, in response to the "pay-to-win" comments, there is an acquisition period (or cost) for a limited number of key units, but after that, it is left to skill. Pro subscription has some nice perks, but will not change rules or modifiers in your favor.

It's an okay game. Ads seem optional, but if you want to make any reasonable progress, you're going to *have* to watch them, and that means spending about a third of your play time watching them. The rewards just aren't rewarding enough to justify the watch time. When I have to watch ads for 25% or more of my game time, I'm just not into it, especially when there are games that are ad free and free-to-play on the market. Uninstalled.

I've played this game for years. And enjoyed it thoroughly. Until they started the subscription stuff and ads. Back then it didn't have ads. I understand the need for income to further develop or maintain the game but I would've appreciated a "legacy" version without all the new stuff and be ad free without premium benefits. So I've lowered my rating.
