Availability of Quality Seeds, Fertilizers and Pesticides in Market is very essential to the Farmers. Ensuring the supply of Quality Agricultural Inputs to the Farmers is the responsibility of the Department of Agriculture, Govt. of Andhra Pradesh. Agricultural Department staff regularly inspects the Agri Input Dealer Outlets and draws samples and sends them to Laboratories for testing. The Department set up Integrated Agri Testing Labs across the state to test maximum Inputs to ensure supply of quality Agriculture inputs in the market. The Labs receive samples drawn by Agri Input Inspectors and the sampling process is manual and discretion in sampling is noticed. The department will replace the manual sampling system with an automated sampling system called “InSight”. This platform connects Input manufacturers, Input Dealers, Sample collection team, Input Inspectors, Regional Coding Centers, Integrated Agri Labs and Farmers. The automated system will randomly select Kind & Variety, batch/lot, dealer outlet and company and minimizes the manual intervention and discretion.
