APL Logistics Driver is the official app for drivers and delivery personnel affiliated with the APL Logistics platform. It allows you to manage shifts, receive services, share your real-time location, and maintain coordinated communication with the operations center.

Location Tracking

When the driver starts their shift, the application can periodically send their GPS location to the operations center. This feature allows the application to show vehicle availability, facilitate trip assignments, and track ongoing services.

Tracking can continue while the application is in the background or the screen is off, provided the driver has granted the necessary location permissions and the operating system allows background activity. To inform the user, the application uses a visible active tracking notification.

Location is used exclusively for operational purposes, such as service assignment, trip tracking, security, support, and shift monitoring. The driver can stop tracking by ending their shift through the application.

Operational Notifications

The application notifies the driver when they receive a trip request, when a service is canceled, or when important trip information is modified. Notifications may include sound, vibration, and voice reading, depending on the volume, Do Not Disturb mode, permissions, and phone settings.

Authorized Use

APL Logistics Driver is intended exclusively for drivers authorized by the company or the platform administrator. You must log in with a registered account and keep the required permissions active to properly use the location, notification, and operational communication features.

Continuous use of GPS running in the background may increase battery consumption. To ensure proper operation, it is recommended to allow "Always" location access, disable battery restrictions for the application, and enable automatic startup on devices with manufacturer power management software.
