About this app

Credit Khata replaces the paper credit register with a ledger your customers can see.

You write an entry at the counter. Your customer opens their phone and sees the same record. No more arguments at the end of the month about what was taken and what was paid.

AT THE COUNTER
- Record credit (udhar), payments received, and cash sales
- Add the item and quantity, so an entry says what it was for
- A running balance per customer, and totals kept separate per currency
- Ring up a walk-in sale without creating a customer record
- Search, filter and sort customers by name, phone or balance

WORKS WITHOUT SIGNAL
Entries you write with no connection are saved on the phone and sync by themselves once you are back online. You keep serving customers; the app catches up.

YOUR CUSTOMERS SEE THEIR OWN KHATA
Give a customer a one-time code, or let them scan a QR from your screen, and they can open their own ledger with your shop - their entries, their balance, their history. They see only their own, never another customer's.

MORE THAN ONE SHOP
Run branches from one login and switch between them. Every entry records which branch it was taken at. Whoever runs a branch can be given their own login that works only there.

YOUR SHOP, THE WAY YOU WANT IT SEEN
Add a logo, banner, tagline, phone, WhatsApp and map link. Customers linked to your shop see it when they open their khata.

IN YOUR LANGUAGE
Twelve languages, including right-to-left: English, Urdu, Arabic, Hindi, Bengali, Indonesian, Swahili, French, Hausa, Persian, Spanish and Nigerian Pidgin.

- Transaction history with date, branch, type and text filters

YOUR DATA
Your ledger is yours. We do not sell your information and there are no advertising or analytics trackers in the app. Everything travels over an encrypted connection. You can delete your account and its data at any time.

WHAT THIS APP IS NOT
Credit Khata is a bookkeeping tool. It is not a lender, a payment service or a debt collector. It does not lend money, hold money, move money or charge interest. Every debt recorded in it is between a shop and its customer, exactly as it would be in a paper register.

Built for kiryana stores, bakeries, dairies, pharmacies, tailors, mobile shops, hardware stores, butchers, restaurants and auto parts dealers - anyone who lets regulars pay later.

What’s new

• Credit Khata has moved to a new web address: ck.abdohoo.app. This update connects the app there, so your ledger keeps syncing. Older versions can no longer sync.
• Shared khata links on ck.abdohoo.app open straight in the app.
• Old duk.abdohoo.app links still work and take you to the new address.
