Ratings and reviews

REA recently rolling out this app and I totally disagree with the practice of the app charging fees on automatic direct debits. A formal complaint with the Dept of Fair Trading is under way. Switching to the app has taken one convenience from renters that used to be free - totally unacceptable and I consider this a predatory business practice. Apart from that experience managing rent payments with app isn't that great - it's much easier to miss payments compared to scheduled bank transfers.

Horrible app, makes renter's lives harder for no reason, it's been maliciously built to get more money from renters by charging for automatic payments, and to get around legislation they made it "technically" possible to pay without a fee but you need to dig deep and manually enter your bank details every time. I hate apps like this, and the soulless husks that create them. Check your state's legislation, your landlord is usually required to provide 2 government-mandated fee-free ways to pay.

Let me just say this, I'm forced to use this app to pay my rent, it's not good and it used so much of my battery and heats the hell out of my phone to over 70°C which is enough to MELT the adhesive keeping the phone together (it's a 2023 Galaxy Z Flip3 from Samsung) for no reason. My real estate EXPECTS me to be ahead in rent, so when it says "Pay early" it's not early, just because I have advance, does not mean I'm actually ahead in rent.
