REA recently rolling out this app and I totally disagree with the practice of the app charging fees on automatic direct debits. A formal complaint with the Dept of Fair Trading is under way. Switching to the app has taken one convenience from renters that used to be free - totally unacceptable and I consider this a predatory business practice. Apart from that experience managing rent payments with app isn't that great - it's much easier to miss payments compared to scheduled bank transfers.

Thanks for your review Yeming. Ailo has decided to charge on a % basis for direct debits to be consistent with the fees we charge for other payment methods & to offer a lower fee for people who pay lower rent. Payments made by bank account before/on the due date will be acknowledged on the day it was initiated so you will not appear as paid late.

I am being forced to use this app by my rental agency. It's a scam. Charging fees for every way to possibly pay rent. Of course they provide one "free" way but it is the most inconvenient a difficult to find method. Incredibly frustrated. Do not download and if your rental agent is making you, push back

Every bank in Australia has free scheduled payments. But this "company" charges $5 for each automatic payment. I hate your business model - "create a problem, and then fix that problem for a fee". I hope you go bankrupt.
