Duck Chase is a hunting log built for waterfowlers — fast enough to use in the blind, and it works with no cell service.
WORKS WHERE YOU HUNT
Flooded timber, prairie potholes, and public marsh have one thing in common: no bars. Duck Chase writes everything to your phone first and syncs when you're back in range. You will never lose a hunt because you had no signal.
LOG A HUNT IN UNDER A MINUTE
Date, time, and location. Temperature, wind speed and direction, sky condition, barometric pressure, and precipitation. Habitat too — flooded timber, rice field, marsh, open water, or your own words.
TRACK WHAT YOU ACTUALLY SHOT
Forty-four species: North American ducks, geese, and doves. Record drakes, hens, and unknowns separately within a single entry, so a mixed strap takes one pass instead of three. Note age where you checked it — the immature-to-adult ratio is the number waterfowl biologists work from. Flag banded birds, record the band number, and report it at reportband.gov.
LOG THE SETUP, NOT JUST THE RESULT
Party size, who was along, decoy count, and spread pattern — J-hook, U-shape, landing zone, loafer, shoreline, or your own. Note whether you ran a Mojo, and whether moving the spread mid-morning is what turned the day around.
SHELLS PER BIRD
Log what you fired and see what it cost you — for the morning, and per species. Teal run you more shells than mallards, and after a season your own numbers will show it.
DOG WORK, NOT AN AFTERTHOUGHT
Your kennel lives in the app: call name, registered name with titles, breed, and date of birth. Mark which dogs worked each hunt and which one made the retrieve. Time a retrieve when it's one worth remembering. Retire an old dog and they keep every hunt they ever worked.
BLIND MODE
Before shooting light, a white phone screen ruins your night vision and can flare birds working the spread. One tap tints and dims the whole app red. It stays on until you turn it off.
BRING YOUR OLD SEASONS WITH YOU
Already keep a spreadsheet? Import it. Download the template, or bring in a file you already have — Duck Chase shows you exactly what it understood, asks about anything it didn't, and saves nothing until you confirm. Export the whole thing back out as a CSV any time. Both directions are free and always will be.
SEE YOUR SEASON
Season totals, your best single day, and your top species at a glance. Shots per bird. Full hunt history keeps every detail you logged, for as many seasons as you keep records.
SET YOUR OWN SEASON DATES
Season dates vary by state and shift every year, so you set yours. The app organizes your history around the seasons you actually hunt, not a guess.
ZERO-BIRD HUNTS COUNT
Some mornings you never fire. Log them anyway. The days that did not produce are half of what makes the pattern worth reading.
PRIVATE BY DEFAULT
No ads. No trackers. No advertising networks. We do not sell your personal information, and we never store your spots as coordinates — a hunt keeps the name you gave it and, if you choose, the county. Nothing finer than that. Full policy at duckchase.app/privacy.
Duck Chase is a personal record-keeping tool. It is not a licensing or compliance service — always follow your state and federal regulations.
