Animalcules turns your home screen into a living drop under the microscope.

Every organism is drawn and animated in real time, so the slide is never the same twice- cells drift, divide, hunt and school behind your apps, like a microscope you forgot to turn off.

A REAL MICROSCOPE’S CONTROLS
Customise every scene like an instrument: density, liveliness, magnification and condenser illumination on knurled dials; bright-field or dark-field lighting; which species appear; an optional microscope vignette; and a warm light or dark “eyepiece” theme.

QUIETLY REACTIVE (optional)
If you like, let one on-device signal gently change the mood: calmer on low battery, busier at midday, livelier in bright light. Everything is sensed on your phone and nothing ever leaves it.

KIND TO YOUR BATTERY
A power-saver mode animates for a few seconds after each unlock, then holds a still frame until you wake it. Rendering is pure, lightweight software- no game
engine, no ads, no tracking.
