About this app

Arx Notes is a private notes app and task planner that works 100% offline. Whatever you write stays on your device — no internet permission, no Google services, no accounts, no ads, and no tracking of any kind.

Encryption isn't an option you can forget to switch on. Everything is encrypted on your device by default, with keys protected by the Android Keystore. Your notes and tasks are yours alone.

What’s new

• Subtasks: add a checklist inside any task; progress (e.g. 2/5) is shown in the list and on the widget. Completing a task can complete its subtasks (Settings → Tasks).
• Redesigned, more compact task editor: a single toolbar, underline formatting, one Save button.
• Completed tasks now show when they were created and when they were done; the completion date is kept when you edit a completed task.
• Quick add from the widget now uses the same full editor.
