Atatinka was created to awaken in children, in a simple and intuitive way, a deep understanding of how music works.
In the app, each character represents an instrument — and each instrument is an essential part of the same arrangement. By turning these parts on and off, the child discovers in practice that music is built by combining layers, and that each layer has its unique role.
This process develops important skills:
• Auditory perception:
The child learns to identify timbres, rhythms, and melodies separately.
• Arrangement understanding: The child comes into contact with harmony and melody separately and perceives how different instruments fit together when played.
• Creative autonomy:
By assembling their own version of the music, the child experiments and compares — exercising critical thinking and creativity.
Atatinka transforms music into a game of sensory and cognitive exploration, allowing children to learn complex concepts — such as arrangement, rhythm, harmony, and musical structure — while playing.
