Godspace serves as a place for Gen Z Christians to grow not only themselves in their faith, but other people as well. A place in which they can gather together, a centralised hub of Bible Studies, question forums, to serve as a one-stop shop for all things to do with the faith. The Christian community needs bringing together to be one body as Christ intends, and Godspace serves to fulfill this purpose.
And speaking of this, we hear so much about the UK’s ‘quiet revival’ that is currently ongoing, and the vision I have of this is like a simmering pot of stew, with one bubble of revival in the north, one in the south, east, west, etc. - there’s all these bubbles of revival going on, and Godspace is here to unite all this revival, to connect all these bubbles as a testament to the work God is doing in UK - Godspace is a connection of all these bubbles in the online world, so that once connected, the UK can explode all these bubbles of revival onto the nation.
And the quiet revival is happening so much online, as well as in-person. For example, The Way UK will reach millions of people every month with the good news, meaning that so many people will come to Christ online, and having given their heart to Christ, they ask: “what’s next?” For a lot of young people, stepping into a daunting room of strangers for the first time is really difficult, and I speak to so many young Christians who believe, yet do not go to church. And I’m noticing an ever-growing gap between coming to faith online, and stepping into church for the first time. And again, Godspace serves as a bridge between these two, in which you can meet other Christians from all across the country from the comfort of a virtual space, and connect with Christians in your area who might be able to recommend their own church, which gives a comfortable, strong route from online, to coming to church on a Sunday.
And another benefit of being online is the lack of requirement for a youthful church a short drive away. I grew up in a church with a lack of youth, and it really affected me in my faith, having so few people to build me up - it was only after being a part of a youth community that I started to be on fire for God. But there are still thousands of young Christians, with no youthful church, and therefore a real lack in those ‘iron sharpens iron’ relationships. Godspace has a strong focus on reaching these people online, where they don’t need to travel, to bridge the gap of a long drive to the nearest youthful church.
Another big gap I see in the faith life of a young Christian is about fifty-one weeks long. Fifty-one weeks between that one summer camp where you met true brothers and sisters, who can build you, encourage you, and ultimately walk with you closer to Christ. But due to you living a 3-hour drive away, there's no space to meet up in-person, and there’s no space online to keep on growing one another as a group of disciples. Until you hear about Godspace, which again serves as that foundational place to not only build on current relationships with siblings in Christ, but also meet new brothers and sisters, finding even more people who can join you in running your race of faith.
To summarise, I see a wealth of opportunity for Godspace to thrive in, for all of these reasons.
