CanvLess is a shared map of the security cameras that officers have documented, for verified United States law enforcement agency personnel.
When something happens, camera footage gets overwritten on a schedule. CanvLess shows the cameras other officers have added around a scene: where each one is, which way it faces and how far it sees, what kind of camera it is, and how long it keeps footage.
CANVASS
Press and hold where it happened, or tap Canvass. Pick how wide to look and when it happened, and the cameras in that area are listed by when their footage will be overwritten, with directions to each one.
SEE WHAT EACH CAMERA SEES
Every pin shows the camera's direction and range as a cone on the map. Tap a pin for its card: the type of camera, how it is mounted, how many days of footage it keeps, and the details the officer who added it left, such as how to get the footage and who to ask.
ADD AND CONFIRM
Found a camera? Add it: place the pin, drag to aim the cone, and fill in what you know. It stays marked not verified until another officer sees it in person and taps Still here. Every camera has Report, for one that has changed or is gone.
TEAM CANVASS
If your department has a group in CanvLess, invite teammates to the same canvass list. Everyone marks each camera as they go, and the list updates on every phone.
