About this app

Civetta is a family-aware DNS security platform. It blocks phishing, scams and malware before they reach your phone, protecting you and the people you care about.

HOW IT WORKS
Civetta filters DNS lookups on your device using Android's VPN permission to run a lightweight, DNS-only filter. When an app or website tries to reach a known-malicious domain, Civetta blocks the lookup before any connection is made. Only DNS requests are checked against Civetta's threat intelligence.

The rest of your traffic is never tunneled, proxied, or routed through our servers.

FAMILY SHARING DONE RIGHT
A protected user can choose to share abstracted security alerts with a trusted family member — for example, an adult child looking out for an aging parent, or a parent helping a teen learn to recognize phishing. The family member sees only the severity tier and threat category, never the underlying site or browsing history. Consent is mutual, renewable, and revocable at any time. This is consensual, shared protection — chosen by both people, not parental control and not imposed on anyone.

PRIVACY
Civetta does not log your browsing, sell your data, or share data with advertisers. We collect only the minimum metadata needed to detect threats and deliver alerts. Family members never see your domain history — only abstracted severity and category information. There are no third-party analytics or advertising SDKs in this app.
