About this app

The COMPENDIUM reference manual contains descriptions of drugs with indication of release forms, licensees, manufacturers, international non-proprietary names of active pharmaceutical substances recommended or suggested by the WHO (International Nonproprietary Names (INN) for pharmaceutical substances, WHO, Geneva, 2002, WHO Druginformation; Proposed INN list, 2003–2017; Recommended INN list, 2003–2017), and also lists the codes of drugs in accordance with the ATC system of the last revision (Anatomical Therapeutic Chemical (ATC) classification system, WHO, 2018).
Internationally proprietary names recommended or proposed by WHO are used to designate active substances (INN - see blue pages); Other accepted names used for these purposes are marked with "*".
Drugs are divided into groups according to the “Classification System of ATS” (see the yellow pages) depending on their effect on a specific anatomical organ or system and in accordance with therapeutic indications and their chemical characteristics. The modern “ATS classification system” has been developed and recommended by the WHO European Regional Office for use in conducting drug consumption research. ATS codes are also used in the WHO International Drug Control Program, where reports of alleged side effects of drugs are reported from national centers. Recently, PBX codes are widely used in comparative statistical studies of drug consumption in the pharmaceutical markets around the world. In this edition of "COMPENDIUM" used edition of the classification of the PBX WHO, officially entered into force in January 2018.
The handbook summarizes and systematizes information on 5837 domestic and foreign medicines in 10,950 dosage forms, which are presented in the pharmaceutical market of Ukraine by manufacturers from 66 countries of the world. Pharmacological properties are described and recommendations on the use of drugs are given in accordance with their trade names. A description of a number of active ingredients. The structure, release form and belonging to pharmacological groups of all drugs included in the reference book are indicated. The handbook also provides information on 52 medical devices in 58 forms of release and 33 cosmetics in 34 forms of release.
