About this app

The Angelic Crown, also called Coroncina of San Michele Arcangelo, is recited using a special crown composed of 39 grains and two medals, one of which bears the effigy of the Archangel and the other of Mary.

The Angelic Crown is a prayer that was revealed to the servant of God Antonia de Astonac in Portugal by the Archangel Michael himself. He told her he wanted to be venerated with nine salutations corresponding to the nine Choirs of the Angels, each followed by a Pater and three Hail, he finally concluded with four Pater. The first to his honor, the second to San Gabriele, the third to San Raffaele and the fourth to our Guardian Angel.

In 1851 Pope Pius IX examined the Corona Angelica and on 8 August 1851 the Cardinal Prefect Luigi Lambruschini signed the Decree of Approval. On 24 November 1851 the Cardinal Prefect Aquini granted the indulgences applied to the dead. Finally, on 3 September 1868, Pius IX granted plenary indulgence under the usual conditions (sacramental confession, Eucharistic communion and prayer according to the intentions of the Holy Father).

This application re-proposes the classic Corona Angelica in electronic version, with the possibility to listen to it and recite it also in Audio version.
