About this app

Courtesy Bus Driver is the on-the-road companion to CourtesyBus.app, the fleet management platform clubs and organisations use to run their courtesy bus service. It gives drivers a simple, focused view of the job in front of them: today's runs, who's booked on each, and one-tap directions.

This app is for authorised drivers of organisations that already use CourtesyBus.app. You sign in with your existing account. The app does not create new accounts on its own.

WHAT YOU CAN DO

• See today's runs at a glance, in order, locked to the current business day, so you're never looking at the wrong day's work.
• Open a run to view its stops and bookings: passenger names, pickup and drop-off points, times, and any notes your team has added.
• Tap Navigate to open turn-by-turn driving directions in Google Maps, routed through the stops in order.
• Update your run status. Mark a run In Progress or Completed and keep the office in sync in real time.
• Stay updated live. When bookings or runs change back at base, your screen updates automatically.

SHARE YOUR BUS ON THE LIVE MAP

• Turn on location sharing, pick your vehicle, and operators back at the venue can see the bus moving on their live map. Customers get better answers about where their ride is, and the office always knows which buses are out.
• Sharing keeps working with the app in the background or the screen off, so you can leave your phone alone and drive.
• It's off by default and entirely in your control. Sharing only happens while you have a vehicle selected, it shows the vehicle rather than your personal profile, and one tap turns it off. Nothing is recorded as history; the map only ever shows the latest position.

BUILT FOR THE ROAD

• Works offline. The app caches today's runs and bookings on your device, so a patchy signal or a dead zone doesn't leave you stranded without your list.
• Fast and distraction-free, with a light or dark theme that follows your phone.

GETTING STARTED

Your organisation sets you up with a CourtesyBus.app site account.
Sign in with your email and a one-time code (or your password).
Pick your site if you drive for more than one, and you're ready to go.
Bookings are created and managed by your team in CourtesyBus.app. Courtesy Bus Driver keeps you looking at the right runs, with directions a tap away and your bus on the venue's map while you're out.
