About this app

Daoa is a Chinese tarot inspired by the I Ching, the Book of Changes — one of the oldest works of Chinese wisdom. Not fortune-telling: a way of looking differently at what is on your mind.

HOW IT WORKS

The figure of the day sheds light on your day — you receive it each morning, without asking anything.
A question calls for a draw — you draw the card, and it answers what you put into words.

You ask an open question, the one that keeps coming back. You draw one card from the 64 figures of the I Ching. The draw is real: the cards are shuffled before you choose. You choose a card — not the figure beneath it — and nothing afterwards changes it. You receive a clear reading, tied to your question, that sheds new light on your situation.

Daoa does not tell you what to do. It helps you find your own answer.

FOR THE MOMENTS YOU HESITATE

A work decision that keeps sliding. A personal choice you put off again. A relationship to take up differently. This Chinese tarot is not here to decide for you: it shows the decision in another light, so the choice stays yours.

The I Ching has been consulted before hard decisions for centuries — not to learn what to do, but to see more clearly what is at stake.

THE 64 FIGURES

Each card carries a hexagram: six lines, one figure, one situation. That is the heart of the I Ching — not an omen, but an image of what is moving. This ancient Chinese oracle, read plainly, with no esoteric jargon.

A JOURNAL THAT KEEPS TRACK

Your draws do not disappear. Each reading joins your journal, where you write what you make of it. Reading back through that notebook, you see the path: the figures you met, the questions that return, what has shifted since.

A question can be taken up again later. A new draw, the same question — and you notice what has changed.

WHAT YOU'LL FIND

• The figure of the day, to receive each morning
• A Chinese tarot draw for every question that matters
• The 64 hexagrams of the I Ching, in plain reading
• A personal journal to keep track of your decisions
• The Path: the figures you have crossed

WHAT DAOA IS NOT

Daoa does not predict the future. It gives no ready-made answer and decides nothing in your place. Here the Chinese tarot is a tool for symbolic reflection, never a fortune-telling service.

SIMPLE, NO SUBSCRIPTION

Three readings are on us, to discover the method. After that, reading packs to purchase — one-time payment, no subscription. One reading is one complete draw and its interpretation.

Your pages stay on your device. A text leaves it only when you ask, for that reading.

Daoa draws on the I Ching, a millennia-old classic of Chinese wisdom, to shed light on the present — not to announce what comes next.

What’s new

Daoa 2 is a completely rebuilt app.

Before you update: your data from the old version does not carry over. Journal, draws and preferences start empty — we could not transfer them.

The model changes too: no more ads. Three readings free, then reading packs to buy, no subscription.

New: the figure of the day, a journal to write in, the 64 figures, and The Path.
