📏 Your phone camera becomes a measuring tape.
"Will a refrigerator fit in this gap?" "Will that bookshelf fit against this wall?" — Before you even look for a measuring tape, simply aim your camera and tap to get the answer on the spot. AR Measuring Tape is an on-device measurement app that measures and saves the length, width, and height of spaces and objects.
■ How to Measure
• Distance — The distance between two points (gap width, furniture placement, overhead space height). Connecting points to get the sum of the paths.
• Area — Floor and wall area in m² and pyeong. Perimeter length included.
• Rectangle — Three taps on a corner to get width, height, and area all at once.
• Circle — Tap the center and edges to get diameter, perimeter, and area.
• Distance Meter — Real-time distance to your target without tapping.
• Screen Ruler — For small objects, place them against the screen to use the scale. No camera is used.
■ Why AR Measuring Tape?
• First off, it's fast — Just aim and tap, and you're done. No need to take out a measuring tape, hold it, or write it down. • It doesn't display rough measurements — If the measurement is likely to be incorrect (e.g., holding the floor behind an object incorrectly), it stops the measurement and guides you to scan the surface first. Corners are captured precisely with automatic snapping.
• Measurements are saved as photos — Save a cut with the dimensions imprinted on it and review it at any time.
• On-device — Camera footage and measurements never leave the device. There are no processing servers at all.
■ Honest
AR measurement is most accurate on bright, patterned surfaces. Errors can increase on plain white walls, dark areas, or very small objects, so it guides you to move the screen slowly. It does not replace precision construction measuring instruments — it is an everyday tape measure for quickly recording measurements.
