About this app

Deepwake is a loud, reliable alarm clock for heavy sleepers. It has several safeguards that make sure it rings, it forces you to wake up, and it doesn't stop until you are out of bed.

If you can't wake up to a normal alarm, or you turn it off in your sleep without remembering, you don't need another ringtone. You need an alarm that is hard to stop. Deepwake ends only when you prove you're up.

AN ALARM THAT WON'T TURN OFF IN YOUR SLEEP
Tapping a button proves nothing. Deepwake asks for a wake-up challenge instead: solve a math problem with no reading involved, repeat a memory game, redraw a pattern, type a sentence, or shake the phone with your eyes on the screen. The alarm goes quiet while you work and comes straight back if you doze off or give up. Set the snooze limit yourself, or turn snooze off completely.

AN ALARM THAT MAKES YOU GET UP
For deep sleepers, awake in bed is not enough. Some challenges can only be finished on your feet:
• Step counter: walk a set number of steps before the alarm ends.
• NFC tag: stick a tag on the coffee machine or the bathroom mirror and tap it to finish.
• QR code and item search: show the camera a code or an object that lives in another room.
• Toothbrush and shaver: the phone listens for your electric toothbrush or shaver. The alarm ends at the sink.
Chain up to five missions on one alarm for the mornings you cannot afford to miss. Try any mission before you trust it with a real alarm.

AN ALARM THAT ACTUALLY RINGS
Most alarm apps assume everything goes right. Deepwake assumes it won't, and has a safeguard for each way it can fail:
• Android silences alarms quietly: notifications off, exact alarms denied, full-screen alarms blocked, battery savers, apps paused for lack of use. Deepwake checks all of it on its own, in the background, and warns you before bed if something needs fixing.
• If the app crashes or the phone restarts at the worst possible moment, a watchdog rings the alarm anyway. An overnight system update or a flat battery does not cost you your alarm.
• If the battery is running dangerously low a sleep cycle before your alarm, Deepwake warns you before you fall asleep.
• If the chosen sound can't be played, the alarm falls back to the system alarm sound instead of staying silent.
• The volume is set when the alarm rings, even if you turned it down last week.
• Everything works offline. No internet connection needed to wake up.

Three wake profiles, Gentle, Firm and Relentless, set volume, vibration, rising volume and snooze in one tap. Relentless is full volume from the first second with no snooze at all. Adjust any of them per your requirements.

OPTIONAL: AI ALARM SOUNDS FROM YOUR OWN WORDS
Describe a sound, "thunder with distant church bells" or "submarine diving klaxon", and get three finished alarm sounds suggestions made from real recordings, from gentle to impossible to sleep through. AI is optional. The built-in alarm sounds, and the system alarm sounds are always there.
