About this app

D-Konnect turns your phone into your car's instrument panel. Plug a Bluetooth ELM327 adapter into the OBD-II socket and put the readings you actually care about on the screen.

YOUR OWN GAUGES, NOT SOMEONE ELSE'S SET

The catalogue holds more than 50 ready-made parameters, with search and category filters. The point, though, is that you can build a gauge yourself: set the request code, the response code and size, and the formula — say (256 * A + B) * 100 / 255. That is how you reach what no standard list covers.

A PANEL PUT TOGETHER BY YOU

• Two cell shapes: a large value, or a chart

• Drag tiles into the order you want

• Session minimum and maximum next to the current reading

• Dark and light themes

WHEN SEVERAL MODULES ANSWER

If more than one ECU replies to a request, the answers are not merged: each module gets its own value row and its own line on the chart (7E8, 7E9 and so on). Any of them can be switched off.

HISTORY AND RECORDING

• History chart with a min/max band

• Chart step from 500 ms to a minute

• Background recording, with the current reading in the notification

DIAGNOSTICS

• Fault codes: confirmed, pending and permanent, broken down by system and subsystem

• Clear codes, and the state of the check-engine lamp

• Readiness of the on-board self-tests (monitors)

• VIN and vehicle data

VEHICLE PROFILES

One profile per car: its own set of gauges and its own adapter initialisation sequence, which you can edit to suit a particular ELM327.

ONE MORE SOURCE: GPS

Speed and altitude from the phone's own sensor, alongside the readings from the car.

WHAT YOU NEED

• A car with an OBD-II socket

• A Bluetooth ELM327 adapter (not included; Wi-Fi adapters are not supported)

• Android 12 or newer

Which parameters are available depends on the car and the adapter — the app shows whatever your control module actually answers.

PRIVACY

No account needed, and trip data stays on the device. The app is free and shows ads.
