HOW IT WORKS
1. Place the phone. On top of the washer, near the back edge, where the drum is loudest.
2. Run the test. Tap Start listening, then start a spin; the app waits for the drum to speed up and records the couple of minutes around it, with a live spectrum, drum speed and vibration on screen.
3. Read the verdict. Ranked likely causes with a confidence figure, the signature that gave them away, and three checks you can do by hand.
