Find where the water is loudest — before you pay for a detection visit.

Hear water when every tap is off? A bill that makes no sense? LeakSonar starts with three questions and a two-minute meter test, so you know whether water is actually escaping before you go looking for it. Then it turns your phone into a listening stick: press it against walls, pipes and floors, save a spot at each place, and the map ranks them and names the loudest one. Two spots are free.

HOW IT WORKS
1. Answer three questions. Is every tap really off? Can you see the meter — and does its smallest dial move in two minutes? Where does it sound loudest? When the honest answer is "this needs a pro" — a silent leak, a concrete slab, a fast-spinning dial — the app says so first, and for free.
2. Listen. Press the bottom edge of the phone firmly against the wall or pipe, hold still for five seconds, save the spot. Move half a metre and do it again. A live leak index compares every spot with a quiet reference.
3. Read the map. The spots ranked, the loudest one named, and a PDF for the plumber with every spot and level — so the search starts where the sound is, not where the guess is.

WHAT THE APP WILL NOT DO
It will not say "the leak is here". Sound through a wall tells you where it is loudest, not where the pipe is broken — and claiming otherwise would cost you a wall. The app points; a professional confirms.

WHAT YOU NEED
• A phone with a microphone. Wired headphones are optional and let you hear the amplified hiss.
• A look at your water meter for the two-minute test — or skip it and listen anyway.
• Pro mode, optional: a cheap piezo contact disc on a headset adapter hears pipes better. The app shows you how.

PRIVACY
Audio never leaves your phone. Every recording is analysed on the device, kept on the device, and yours to delete in one tap. No account, no sign-up, no cloud, no advertising. Crash reports can be switched off in Settings.
